iKnowtion to Host National Forum on Marketing Analytics
First annual conference will provide attendees with an in-depth look at trends in marketing analytics and decision making

BURLINGTON, Mass. – May 19, 2008 – iKnowtion, a marketing and analytics consultancy that works with Fortune 1000 companies to improve marketing effectiveness, today announced plans to host a national forum on marketing analytics this fall. The conference, “Marketing Analytics Xchange” (MAX 08) is scheduled for September 17, 2008 at the Marriott Long Wharf Hotel in downtown Boston. The forum will bring together an impressive array of companies, academics and service providers to discuss the latest trends in marketing analytics and decision making.

The first annual event, titled “Unleashing the Power of Marketing Analytics,” will focus on the growing ranks of companies who are implementing analytic strategies for competitive advantage. With an emphasis on practical advice and takeaways that can be immediately put to use, the forum will showcase illustrative examples from leading brands in the consumer and B-to-B marketplace with featured speakers representing retail, financial services, automotive, and other business sectors.

Challenges presented by new forms of media and social interaction as it relates to marketing and consumer behavior will also be highlighted. Attendees will also have the chance to hear what it takes to truly “compete on analytics” from key executives who have witnessed the associated business and organizational transformations from a C-level perspective.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Thomas Davenport, President’s Distinguished Professor of Information Technology & Management at Babson College and the co-author of Competing on Analytics: The New Science of Winning, the recent popular release from Harvard Business School Press. Professor Davenport is a highly sought after speaker and consultant with worldwide experience, and his unique perspective will set the tone for the day.
